Go Beyond Adventure is an independent Colorado nonprofit. We focus on the opportunity tourism creates for local communities ready for more employment, educational support, and skills training — investing in the tourism-based businesses that give people a path to sustainable growth.

In the communities we serve, tourism is the single largest driver of local economic growth — but too often that income flows right past the families who need it most. Go Beyond Adventure helps them capture it: we fund community enterprises and the job training that turn local hospitality into steady work and income for people with few other options.
The goal is never a one-time fix. It's building something the community owns, that keeps generating opportunity for years.
Community led impact
We didn't start with a master plan — we started with one table in Guatemala and a belief that opportunity should be built by the community, not handed to it. Here's how the model has grown, and where it's headed. (We fund an enterprise only when its primary purpose and effect is to benefit an underserved community.)
Guatemala
Grace Table opened as a restaurant serving authentic Mayan cuisine. Today it's growing into a community hospitality project — creating jobs, hands-on training, and homestays for local families, with proceeds reinvested in the community. This year, we're building out the homestays.

.Eon's coffee shop is the engine behind the Idas Valley Afterschool Program, a local nonprofit. Its proceeds fund education, job training, and youth biking programs — creating lasting opportunities for local young people and strengthening the community for years to come.

Peru
Peru is next. In 2027, we turn to the Peruvian highlands — where tourism drives the local economy but too often bypasses the communities that need it most. We're already searching for the right partner: local leaders with a vision that lifts the whole community. When we find one that meets our standard, we'll build it together.

Accountability
Every project our board approves is funded through a clear written agreement, we keep watch on the ground as it grows, and if funds are ever misused, we can step in to make it right.
Leave the edges
of the field.
The idea behind everything we do is one of the oldest in scripture. In Leviticus, landowners were told not to harvest all the way to the edges of their fields —for the traveler, the widow, and those without land of their own so they could gather what they needed with their own hands. It was never a handout. It was dignity: access to opportunity, and the chance to work it yourself.
Today, the "field" isn't farmland — it's the local economy. In the communities we serve, tourism is the richest field there is: the largest source of jobs and income for miles. But its edges are closed to the people who need them most — those without the business, the training, or the way in.
Go Beyond Adventure exists to open those edges. We help communities build the tourism enterprises and skills to harvest that opportunity for themselves — and we invite you to be the one who leaves the field open.
